Derrick Rose=Youngest MVP Ever

Rumor has it that Derrick Rose is about to become the NBA’s youngest MVP ever at 22 years old. Until today, Wes Unseld was the youngest MVP in league history, winning the award at the age of 23 during the 1968-1969 season. Rose led the Bulls to a league-best 62-20 record during the regular season, all while averaging 25 points, nearly 8 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Bulls rookie coach Tom Thibodeau also won Coach of the Year, making he and rose the 12th player/coach duo to win both awards. Rose is expected to be notified today and be presented with the award during the second game of Chicago’s Eastern Congference Semifinals series against the Atlanta Hawks. Rose hurt his ankle is last night’ Game 1 loss, but something tells me he’ll be suiting up for the next game, and it doesn’t have shit to do with the MVP Trophy.
