Cinematic Atlas: A Guide to Scorsese’s New York

Saw this is over at Complex and it’s fuckin tight. Marty Mar is arguably the greatest director of the 20th century, yet he didn’t pick up any Academy hardware until the 21st century, when The Departed took home 5 Oscars. It was long overdue and well deserved, and it also marked one of the first time’s that Scorsese strayed from his beloved New York. Complex went to outdoor locations from Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, After Hours, Goodfellas and Bringing Out The Dead to check out how time has treated them.
